FIFD Powered Stretcher Funded by Community

The Fishers Island Fire Department’s new powered stretcher loader is making a difference. This industry-leading Stryker powered ambulance cot features a battery-powered hydraulic system that raises and lowers the cot. It has the ease of one person operation to help with patient loading and unloading to-and-from the ambulance.

The EMS team was previously using an out-dated manual stretcher, which can be unsafe for the patient transport and takes multiple EMS crew members to move and operate.

The new stretcher was funded with donations from the public, and the FIFD just wants to say thank you in return for the generosity of the Fishers community.
