Subscribe to RAVE/Smart 911 for Emergency Notifications

Suffolk County advises all residents and business owners to utilize the RAVE Alert system regarding emergency alert systems.

Suffolk County has opted for the RAVE Alert /Smart911 platform – no longer using Code Red Alerting System which Fishers had a prior connection to.

RAVE Alert is a free subscription-based system. Suffolk County Office of Emergency Management, Department of Fire, Rescue, and Emergency Services can notify anyone subscribed regarding an emergency or important notification in a similar manner as we did with Code Red.

We absolutely urge you and anyone else on the island to sign up for this notification service.

Residents/island officials/emergency managers/first responders may sign up for RAVE Alert notifications.

In addition, Suffolk County participates in Smart 911 (also connected to the RAVE product), where residents can input additional information regarding their family and themselves that could potentially be important to first responders tending to their emergency. Information might include your pets if someone in your home might need additional assistance, confirmation of your home’s GPS location, and other occupants’ contact info. Residents can input as little or as much information as they are comfortable sharing. Once you subscribe to the RAVE Alert, the form will ask if you would like to submit any additional information.
